Questions to think about…

How many squares are there on a chess board?

How many queens can be on the board at any one time? Have a think. Remember a pawn might become a queen if it reaches the other side of the board.

Post your answers here.

On Tuesday 10th July, we will be holding our annual chess tournament. I am very sorry but there are too many people who wish to compete and priority has been given to the Chess Club players. I have done my best to accommodate as many players from across KS2 as possible. Please be ready to start at 1.30pm on Tuesday in the Lilac Room. When you have been knocked out, you should return to class.
